How do you Drive Traffic to Your Site?

This article is about the different methods used to drive traffic to your site. For me, the number one way is to be on the first page of a popular Google search around the world.

Search engine optimization is the most important thing to learn to drive traffic to your site, unless you have your own product that will produce a large profit on sale, in which case you might want to try pay per click advertising.

I haven't got the money to do that myself though, and I have to concentrate on free methods. I only write articles on other people's sites, and so I don't make a huge profit, even if I get a million hits of traffic.

I just try to write a quality article with the main keywords as about 3% of the text, and then I make back links to it from everywhere I can think of.

I start by using Add This, (a social bookmarking toolbar), to make links from sites like Digg, Delicious, Yahoo Buzz, Google Buzz, Linked in, She Told Me, and many more, and then I write articles on sites like Triond, HubPages, Squidoo, Ezine, Go articles, etc, all linking back to main ones, which I usually write on Factoidz these days.

This article is a back link to my Triond one called drive traffic to your site, which in turn leads to my article on Factoidz called how do you drive tons of traffic to your site.

That one then links to some of my other Factoidz articles. Every single article I write is a link to one of my other articles, unless I want to make it specifically the center of all links.

Back links are the best way to tell Google that your site is the most important out of all of the other articles with similar titles or keyword content, and get onto the first page of a popular Google search.

When you get into one that has a million searches a year worldwide, you will surely drive a lot of traffic to your site, provided that you have an enticing description.
